Today was a quite interesting day for me, I went to watch Disney’s and Pixar’s new movie, Ratatouille, with my brother and sister-in-law. It was quite an interesting movie about dreams and goals, but not as funny as I anticipated. Nonetheless, the storyline was one I will remember.
During the movie, there was a meaningful line that went something like this: If you think about what you did, then you won’t be able to focus on what you can do.
After I thought about the line a little more, it made me feel like I could relate. It seemed like the line was a story of my life.
I have always stabbed myself with thoughts of regret and guilt; but this line hit me, like a sledge hammer, back into realization. The line made me realize that dwelling in the past won’t help me, no matter how many events made me reminisce of my earlier years. The line brought me into a state that allowed me to come to terms with my past.
Now I feel like I am able to pursue my goal of personal development, and change. I am a changed person.
