Life As A College Student

Going to college, the first thing that I looked forward to was the fact that I would NOT see the dumb asses that I saw in high school. And to a higher extent, I didn’t have to see them at all. I could stay and go as I pleased, and I wouldn’t have to see their ugly ass mug a whole eight hours. Even if UHH was never a college I wanted to go to, I didn’t care because I thought I wouldn’t see dumb asses.

How I was wrong, how I was wrong. The first thing I saw while leaving my first class to change to my second was low and behold: A dumb ass… One of the bigger ones that I never like in high school. It pissed me off when I seen him because I was being optimistic that this was a new start with no dumb asses. Yeah right…. As my day progressed on and on more dumb asses shuffled through hallways, and doors, or blocked them.

Not seeing dumb asses was the reason why I applied away to California schools. I applied knowing that they, in the first place, wouldn’t be able to get into those colleges, and let alone have the drive to fill out the applications, and write the essays.

As I drove I began to think that I had soo much better then UH Hilo, and it pissed me off. It made me cry because I knew I could do better, and I did better, I got accepted to awesome schools and the only thing that stopped me was the fact that one of the biggest jack asses in the world stopped me.

Going through the day, all I felt was that I was in high school again. I was in an unhealthy building, in particular one building had mold build up, and budget retrains in the English department…. Again. It reminded me whole heartedly about the fact our math department in high school had budget restraints, and that one of the oldest buildings in the town had asbestos.

I hate the fact that I have to share the halls with people that I hate, and I hate the fact that I’m at a school that cannot afford desks that are functional and are junk. and I hate the fact that I had the opportunity to do so much more, and I couldn’t.

My life as a college student…. I LOVE it already.
