I guess you could call me a Korean Drama Freak already. Yes I’m only 17 and I’m already a crazed fan of Korean Dramas. After watching my first Korean Drama, Stairway To Heaven, my aunts been giving me more DVD sets.
The Palace series is centered around an ordinary school girl named Chae-gyeong. Chae-gyeong studies at the most famous art school in Korea, and has a dream of becoming a world famous designer. She is well known for being a Happy-Go-Lucky, and cheerful person until she has a twist of fate.
She is to marry the current Crown Prince of Korea, as willed by her late grandfather and late king of Korea. At first, Chae-gyeong resents the idea of being married to a total stranger she hates, but gives in with the thought of her families debt.
Upon entering the Royal Palace, she faces criticism from all angles and pressure from the media. It wouldn’t be long after that she thrown into a angry whirlwind of a power struggle.
If you ever watch the series, it is said there is a Goong sequel rumored to release in late 2007 or early 2008.
