I’m sure that everyone has used the word “but” in forms of writing, speaking, whatever. Though are you sure that you are using it in a grammatically correct form?
When using the word “but” its to compare two opposites. For example: The weather is nice but its raining.Though one thing you never do with the word “but” is use it as a conjunction word such as the word “and”. *I know I’ve done that so many times* For example: Some think that banana is from Polynesia and Malaysia, but there is various plants of this type in Asia also.Now there is a quick grammar lesson for you… I didn’t even know any of those things until an English major told me in college.
